Nordic Youth Research Symposium (NYRIS)

NYRIS is the biennial Nordic Scientific Symposium on Youth Studies.

Nordic Youth Research Symposiums (NYRIS) (Visit an external site. The link opens in a new tab.) have established their position as the leading youth research conference within the Nordic countries. The NYRIS conferences have been organised as a Nordic cooperation since 1987. In recent years, the cooperation has expanded to the Baltic States: in 2023, the conference will be held in Tallinn.

Over the decades, the conferences have offered an opportunity for all with an interest in youth research to give and receive inspiring presentations and to participate in stimulating discussions. NYRIS conferences bring together researchers, students and experts from all over the world. The aim of the conferences is to examine current phenomena related to youth and young people worldwide.
